Driven with initiative and a forward-thinking mindset, Dave set out to make a difference in the areas of Law Enforcement and subject control skills.
Dave is a full-time Law Enforcement Officer within the New York metropolitan area with 17+ years of experience. He became a tactics instructor in 2007 and, by 2008, was leading in-service training for his agency in expandable baton, PR-24, and handcuffing skills. His technical expertise has expanded over his career to include a handgun and patrol rifles, chemical agents, less-lethal impact munitions, and OC (pepper) spray. He is a certified police physical conditioning instructor who actively instructs at an NJ police academy. There he also teaches numerous lecture classes, leads the expandable baton program, handcuffing, and assists with unarmed defense and chemical agents lessons. He has instructed thousands of full-time, Special (Class 1 & 2), and Corrections recruits. He is an operator on a multi-jurisdictional SWAT team and assists agencies with active-shooter response training throughout his county. Dave has been a Master Level adjunct instructor for the Safariland Training Group and Defense Technology Training Academy since 2016. He travels worldwide, teaching tactics and the use of force skills.
Dave is at the forefront of the use of force changes in NJ. He is a Gracie Survival Tactics Instructor, and most recently, Dave assisted his county with the state-wide de-escalation and tactics program known as I.C.A.T, teaching the program to hundreds of active police officers over the course of 6 months.
Before becoming a police officer, Dave served active duty in the Marine Corps and received numerous awards and commendations for his actions, both home and abroad, in combat operations.
